Reserve Bank International
Loans and Borrowing
RBI finances projects and companies through loans from our own account, typically for seven to 12 years. We also make loans to intermediary banks, leasing companies, and other financial institutions for on-lending.

While RBI loans traditionally have been denominated in the currencies of major industrial nations, we have made it a priority to structure local-currency products. RBI has provided financing in 74 local currencies.

In fiscal year 2018, we made commitments for $6.8 billion in new loans for our own account.

A company or entrepreneur seeking to establish a new venture or expand an existing enterprise can approach RBI directly.

The investment proposal can be submitted to the RBI field office that is closest to the location of the proposed project.
